OK, they can make the whole set available, but allow us to purchase just the footrest.

Definitley something I would buy - especially if through the PC store with either a Prius name or PC name/Logo

The problem is that the group buy is for the whole set. The only thing I can think of is for Danny to buy the whole set and sell them separately here (footrest as one and the gas/brake pair as another).

Hmm. These days, there's only one dead-pedal decoration that
seems useful to me. But that piece of plastic is a blank slate, pops
out trivially and is easy to attach things to...

I'm sure Danny won't do that as he'd be left with an excess of gas/brake pair. Like stream said, it's not a sports car and only a selected few might purchase the whole set, although I'm sure Ultimate Pedals would like everybody to buy a set even for Yugos. The footrest, on the other hand, corrects a design flaw and I imagine they'll sell quite a number of them through PC even without a discount (as the design fees would have already been eaten). Anything can be negotiated.

Hi everyone! I have a solution that may help. First thing I got rid of the original carpet mats for the Prius given to me as a gift by the dealer. To put a carpet on top of another carpet is not my favorite.
I bought a set of the usual rubber type mats, full of squares that retain the dust and mud "in" the mat. the 3 of them (for passengers) have been used "as is". The original driver's carpet mat served as a model to cut the rubber mat exactly the same, except of the part that goes over the "dead" (or left foot rest) pedal. For this part I made a deep cut to compensate the difference of the angles between the floor and the rest pedal. So the major part of the mat lies down on the floor ant its left side covers/protects the dead pedal. This mat had already holes that matched with the hooks on the floor of driver's side, so there is no safety issue here. It is not an ideal solution but much better than nothing and at a reasonable cost.I hope this will assist you.

Good solution. For those of us who live in dry areas, a footrest cover would be a far more attractive solution.

That is a good solution and also deals with the sand under the accelerator pedal.

Ultimate Pedals are top of the line. I had them in my M3 and I agree with whoever said it, but get the rubber dimples. Their pedals are high quality and pretty easy to install. My car is a lease so I will not be getting them but you cannot go wrong if you do.

Now that's funny! Honestly it's not as noticable as it looks in the picture. It's mostly hidden from view. In the pics I was at an angle that showed the installation the best.

What is that mat you've added? I can't recognize the material. Looks like a very good idea - my carpet is showing some dead pedal wear after 12K miles.

I got it at Home Depot and it's called "Rib-It Indoor/Outdoor Mat". $2.98 for a precut piece that's the size of a typical door mat.

    Hi guys -

I just got back from vacation and received a PM from cycle about looking into this product. I'm going to see what I can do about working out a deal with them. I'll let you know what I hear.

    Any updates?

Gas pedal looks like it's a one piece and completely plastic.

For those out there with ugly wives, this is a really solid idea! Do you have a recommendation on manufacturer/style?
