Day 2127 in my Prius and No Sudden Unintended Acceleration

This is a fun thread as I have been LOL for the past 10 minutes!

 

its a real safety risk
all the runaway priusses around you on the highway and your not speeding away yourselfs.. potential a prius can hit you from behind...
danger.. your prius needs to go back for a recall..

On a funny note, I went on a hiking date today and I told the girl that my Prius is safe and she didn't have to be concerned with runaway Prius syndrome. "She simply laughed and said don't sweat it, if your car start accelerating uncontrollably I'll put it in neutral for you.." :rockon:

So then I showed her it wasn't necessary because my brakes override the gas pedal at WOT. She just laughed and said what the hell is wrong with those other people that can't figure this out. I'm definitely going on another date with her.

 

Heaven help Toyota in the USA if it ever has another recall. The mediots will go bananas.

So, I must confess, the other day my Prius went out of control. It was on 495 south near Boston and I could not slow it down. I tried everything, dialing my wife, my psychic, my lawyer, deleting the MP3s in my iPod, even making hand gestures only us Boston people know. There was no relief. My wife was driving, my wallet in her purse and my credit cards on her mind. She was heading to the mall and I was really scared. All I could do was watch her dissapear from my porch...

Does someone think Toyota might pay my cc bill for me? It's really their fault we had that fight and she punished me with a spree at Macy's...

 

I have a 2006 PK#7 also...Is there anything you don't like in your prius...Getting ready for a 1000k trip to Myrtle Beach to start my golfing season . Iv'e only had mine a year and just had the 12v Battery replaced...Have you had to do this yet? 44k on it right now. I still like my prius even with the bad press.

 

50k on mine, still with the original battery. I love my Prius. It's been a great car and lots of fun to drive. My only two complaints:

1) Dash rattles. I've had them fixed, but they always come back.

2) Traction control. With good tires it's not bad, but I wish I had the new 2010 traction control.

My thought is to buy a lottery ticket. That way I balance the odds: good vs. bad. That's even more exciting!
