Dash not lighting up. Instrument panel No Speedo etc.

My guess was that a capacitor was damaged in a jump session, by counter surge from the alternator of the other vehicle. Where are these under spec'ed capacitors. I will rip them out with a come along and put the right ones in.

BTW, the battery storm was a big joke. Every time I have a problem with my Prius I have a friend who tells me the hybrid battery is gone. They are easy to replace, so why not, right? Talk about low hanging no fruits. Bad capacitor is the best suspect

 

I'm struggling to accept this as a reasonable cause and effect. Maybe it is possible, but I'm thinking highly unlikely.

The guy in Texas said probably not my issue because my dash always re lights correctly if I Fek with it . By watching this for months I’m inclined to believe it’s a smart key issue. Many times wen in start car I close my eyes I can tell by sounds if dash is lit up . Seriously.. then if I start car dash not lit. I stop and re press start button pedal depressed usually 12 to 14 cycles and that certain sound is made dash lit.. sometimes if I push the smart key disable button then start button dash lites.. something before the dash’s board. Circuit opening relay or such .or a required dual 12 V feed if ones. Missing no dash.. I also note weird flashes of red key on display wen dash is amiss. So. Keep driving wen dash lit all ambers are on but my brakes are perfect just like all my other Prii 5 on property. Hdd to 350K kinda nice at night in real darkness easy on eyes . At 400 miles to fill up who needs dash .
