personally, i think Tony's alter ego is chiefly responsible for soiling his rep

 

Reputations gained through votes by others with good reputations can work very well. I think slashdot is a good example.

 

I don't think I'd trust a board that gave me a good reputation. If someone gives me a good reputation can I counteract it by giving myself a bad reputation? I think points were a better idea. They didn't seem to mean anything at all.

Think of an inperson group discussion....as you are starting something and eyes roll, etc, it tends to stop before it really unravels. Tools like reputation and "No Thanks" if used properly can do the same function.

 

My reputation suffered irreparable damage in Detroit. I don't think any amount of button clicking will fix it.

Some people will thrive on a negative reputation. This whole thing sounds a bit scary.

 

My vote was to keep it. I do not understand this - someone might say something bad about me stuff.
