Custom extended seat rails group order

I presume you meant "airbag issue." You're still two inches farther from the steering wheel, which may make a difference in airbag timing.

But I do concede that it's the distance of your chest from the wheel, not your back. Since people are different thickness, things may work out properly. A thin guy two inches closer is like a thicker guy two inches farther back.

Something I just considered: What happens if my head moves back, abeam the B-pillar, instead of next to the window? The side-curtain airbag won't help me.

 

Were these extended seat rails ever produced? I want them if anybody has the contact information.

This project died long ago. Apparently, problemchild's fabricator/modifier got frightened from a liability standpoint because of some safety issues that were raised. If you want your seat rails extended rearward, you'll have to find someone else. The one person I know who extended his seat rails got a company that does modifications for the handicapped to do it. His modifier was located in Billerica, MA.

If you are selling something, you can word your "thing" in a different format like "I'm selling this...!!"
