Curt hitch install question... Help please!

Does anyone know the dimension from the ground to the top of the tow ball mount?

 

I haven't installed the tow ball mount, but the top of the hitch looks like a little under 12"--add an inch and a half or so for the ball?

Thanks to this link my install went as you guys described. Having a socket extension plenty long enough is a big help.

I have a rack that fits my truck's 2" hitch receiver and bought a 1.25" to 2" adapter to use until I splurge for a new super light weight rack. Meijer had a decent priced Master Lock Brand $27. A lot of the big box stores didn't have these adapters. Most online sites were $40. I have grand plans for buying a cargo rack too and being able to use it on both vehicles. I haven't used it yet, to see how much wobble.

Reese brand adapter at AutoZone few dollars less.

Anyway, thanks for the inspiration to get out and do it.
