@Dale2005 thank you for such a fast response. So there is no harm in getting the 04000-32528 kit if its a better deal than the WQT800 from a Toyota dealer?

I agree. Sometimes the term "counterfeit" is undeserved. I needed a fuel pump for my Ford, but the dealer wanted $400 for a genuine part. I paid $180 for a nearly identical part, that lasted the life of the car. I'd only use the word "counterfeit" for knockoffs of dubious quality.

Counterfeit is ONLY the parts sold as genuine Toyota in Toyota lookalike packaging. That is what counterfeit means. Everything else is aftermarket.

Counterfeit money is printed to look genuine. Do you want to be paid with that?

I say get the best deal you can on either part but the kit includes the washer. I didn't know WQT800 could come from a Toyota dealer but if it does then you have that much more assurance of authenticity. I'm believe WQT800 is AISIN's part number for direct sales and may be available from various online and retail sources. Several years ago when I started this post I don't think AISIN was selling parts directly. My key suggestion is stay away from counterfeits and aftermarket as the quality is less and you may be severely inconvenienced with a premature failure. This is just the kind of part you want enduring reliability.

RockAuto has WQT800 for $89 as of now.

The first one is a kit that was issued to perform the inverter pump recall from several years ago. It comes with a pump already mounted to a baseplate and an aluminum gasket taped inside the lid. There are many left over and I've bought some from various dealers that still have some on the shelf. These are almost always priced significantly lower than the normal replacement part, but are identical + have the gasket required if you desire to drain the coolant, instead of just clamping off the hoses.

The second one is just a normal Toyota replacement part and also comes already mounted to a base plate.

Most people just remove the pump from the baseplate and re-use the base already on the car. It's easier. Some cars need a new baseplate due to rust, etc.
