Cost to replace traction battery

    lol no. We didn't get over that way. I'm still gonna endeavour to find out in due course though. Saying that, I have the 10 year unlimited miles warranty so it's not really high up my list of priorities.

    I came upon this a couple days ago. Apparently, Re-inVolt Technologies has been bought by Dorman OE Solutions. According to the "Where to Buy" button at the top of the below website, Dorman is now selling remanufactured hybrid batteries through Advance Auto and other auto parts stores. I have been waiting for this to happen. It signals the beginning of aftermarket availability of replacement hybrid batteries and reduction in their cost. I don't need one now, but when and if I do, this will be the first place I look.

    nice vid, it would be interesting to get eric becky's take on dorman. i know some people here have used them, but not sure of their overall quality.

    Reviving old thread; This is the first time I've seen a figure being put up for replacing the Prius battery in Australia at $2371, which is pretty cheap! ES 300h was quoted for $3230 for the battery replacement. Kudos Toyota Australia!

    I reckon I will have more reasons to keep driving the thing until my 5th battery replacements... I've none yet :)
