Coolant Replacement Interval

    I was able to check it again last night, I look at the images above and what I was seeing under the car and it appears the drain assemble show in the image is not on mine and replaced with a black hex bolt. Could they have switched mid 2010 to the style without the drain cock? If I do not drain the block, will I not be able to properly refill the system or cause issues later?

    If you don't have an engine drain cock, you can still drain almost all the engine coolant via the radiator petcock. A small amount of old coolant will remain in the engine block, but that will not cause any issues later. It is still beneficial to change the coolant in this case because the amount of remaining old coolant is small.
