The problem is, that also describe the Prius PHV as well. The only differences are the "conditions".

It also describes the plugless Prius.

I could not drive a 3" ground clearance vehicle anywhere around here...how is that practical in any fashion? The Prius is too low for this area.

Yeah, the media training is very annoying.

Nightly Business Report did some segments on electric vehicles for a few days. They mentioned the Leaf a few times (but never road in one) but spoke to and rode along with at least 2 different Volt owners. The way the reporting was done is that it basically stated that the Volt was an EV. They never once referred to it as a plug-in hybrid.

At EV's Impact on the Power Grid | Nightly Business Report | PBS, they even said:

The Volt bumper is at the same height 7".

    2011 Chevrolet Volt: Spoiler Alert!

Don't be trying to confuse TPFun with mere facts, he has an agenda to promote. You can't do that with the truth.

I've forgotten, what was the name of that idiot marketing firm that concluded that the Prius is worse environmentally than the Hummer ? I want a redo with the Volt. The approximate arithmetic should be USD 50 Billion / 1200 cars.

I recall in another thread, you parroted the same clearance issue and was quite thoroughly slammed in a post by an actual real life automotive engineer from GM.

That was a good read but unfortunately I can't find that post anymore. Was it deleted ?

    Ouch.
    No agenda here.

Just dealing with the spin from the "regulars" is fun enough.

This may be the funniest sentence on Prius chat ever.

I didn't want to say this but since you asked, here goes...
the owners in that DIY link are basically putting lip-stick on a pig.
Obviously, they don't mind lowering the front lip of their 30+K Prius scrapes and all.

Seriously, this is the only car forum in which some of the "regulars" will ask people to drive another car or let their loved one/child/dog suffer if they have complaints about the Prius.

That is your opinion, based of a very diagonal view of this forum.
Sure you don't want to be reminded of how many other users are always showing help when some doubts arise.

By the way, how can I help you?

Er, the thing that would get scraped is a $2 bit of draught excluder from best buy. If you tear it, or pull it off altogether, what is the bill? oh, $2. How much does the air dam on the Volt cost?

By the way, still enjoying 99mpg in my prius, how is your car doing?
