Yes I'm finding that out, I guess that washing the car seems fundamental. Seems as though as many times as Senior Posters have chastsized me for bringing up rudementary subjects or subjects that had been talked about over and over, that someone would have done the same here. Not that I'm complaining. i'm always happy to see when threads stay positive, this being no exception. was not trying to be negative, just find it amusing I suppose. It's like teaching your kids to tie their shoes, arduous, simple yet fulfilling and even amusing.

Yup. Remove the stupid emblems. Of course the Toyota ones are there to stay unless you want to fill holes. But the rest can go!

Keep wax away from the emblems, and use pressurized air to dry behind them. Not a big deal. Better of they could be removed though!

I really like microfiber products for all sorts of cleaning uses. Dusting, windows, drying, polishing. The stuff is like magic. I use it in my home too. I picked up a bottle of Stoner Glass Cleaner, as recommended by Pep Boys, and now I almost enjoy cleaning windows!!!!! The stuff does not streak. I use one little microfiber cloth designed for windows and I can do the whole car. Microfiber is washable too!

I picked up some LCD cleaner by Ultra from TigerDirect.com. Sounds like the others here... comes with a cloth etc. I also swiffer the outside of the windows when I wash my car and its dusty the next day or two.

For those who have the need, don't forget about leather treatment. Cloth could probably use some treatment too.

Anybody know any magic tricks for keeping floor mats clean? My car isn't even two months old and they are already looking bad.

 

AA does take fingerprints off a gun... at least that's what I learned from reading crime novels.

Just cleaned my floor mats (the removable ones). I used liquid laundry detergent. Just lay the mat on the ground (concrete), pour some diluted detergent on them, and scrub with a stiff brush. Then I hang them vertically, rinse thoroughly and let them drip dry. They look new again.

The main carpet is best cleaned with the type of spray on cleaner you let dry and vacuum out. Depending on how dirty it is, scrubbing may be necessary.

I sent for them.

There is a little piece of foam with the product in a pouch. Tried it this week. It was much better than AA but still left my plastic streaky. I'm going to stick with the Meguiar's.
