The ecu is integrated into the brake booster. I believe the ecu can be removed. Not sure yet. I haven’t tried. The pedal height feel like the pads were replaced, but they weren’t. I have new pads ready to install. I will turn rotors and that will be 1 less thing to worry about. The hybrid battery fuse was replaced under warranty.

I don't have a fancy code reader, just a cheap one. I'll check. Meanwhile, I cleaned the 12V battery terminals and charged it up, unhooked the drive battery and then waited 20 minutes then reconnected both batteries with no different results - when I try to turn on the car and shift into gear, it automatically goes into neutral and gives me a different warning 'shift to P position when starting' and so I can't shift into any gear except neutral and when I do, the car sounds like the electric drive motors engage and it drifts backwards...

Ok thank you. This definitely different from what I experienced. I was able to drive it, however it didn’t feel normal. Please keep us posted.

    Good Evening Everyone,
So I let everyone know that I picked up the car on Thursday and pay the $1922 bill. I received the old part and I began to do my due diligence and research the cost of the part. List price for it was $698.01. I was charged $991.67 for the part. I was slightly upset to say the least, I could’ve bought the part even cheaper. So today I went to the Stealership to confront them. Had a nice conversation with the parts/ service manager and after 30 minutes and 2 phone calls to other dealers to verify the MSRP. I was informed that that is the Autonation matrix pricing. After my consistent persistence I finally got them to refund me $318. I will never go to another dealership again if it all possible. Just thought I would pass this information on. I hope it helps someone else. The dealership is evil.

Really? I'd absolutely go to another one. I'd never go to that dealership again. Why would you not change dealerships after that one treated you that way? What a ripoff?!

Or did you mean you won't go to any dealership because of that one terrible one. Like not using money anymore because you once got passed a counterfeit $20 bill. The dealership I use has pretty standard prices. They have occasionally offered services I didn't really need or want, but never pushed.

Well I will not go back to that dealership. It will take a while to get the bad taste out of my mouth after this experience. I am pretty sure most dealerships rip everyone off. I will do whatever it takes to avoid any dealership. The Las Vegas dealerships see customers as a cash cow and charge whatever they want. It appears your in Florida, maybe they are more honest there.

You are absolutely correct Bisco on both points. Hope my experience helps someone in need. I Love this site because their is so much experience and help available. Just got techstream so hopefully I will be better prepared for next time.
