Saw a blue Volt on the other side of the road today. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same one I saw recently.
On the streets I have seen 2 Volts, even less than the neat 4 door Porsche Panamera...3 of those sighted!
I think its a regional thing. At the running trail Saturday there were two volts and I was the only prius.
Yep the government owns quite a few prii. My neighborhood has a large number of hybrids and pickup trucks. Austin was a launch city for the volt, and there are a lot here. A few leafs but they started selling them much later, but we did get the first NA leaf here. Buy a plug in and the municipal utility will give you a free charger for the ability to monitor your charging habits. All the public charging stations in the city are powered by renewable electricity. Biodiesel mods round out the mix.
Saw black Volt on the highway today. Saw a silver Leaf earlier in the day. It seems I'm finally starting to see more Volts.
The dealer by me had 8 Volts before the production suspension. I checked today and they're down to two.
I see Leafs (Leaves?) on the road all the time as Nissan's HQ for Canada is around the corner from where I work. Same with Mitsubishi with the MiEV. I've seen, maybe, two Volts on the road in Toronto.
On a recent weekday drive up to San Francisco from the South Bay and back I spotted 7 LEAFs and 4 Volts. On my regular South Bay commute it's rare if I fail to see at least one LEAF and Volt on the road (not counting the 2 other Volts and 5+ LEAFs at work in the parking lot).
Saw a brand new white Volt parked in south SJ. It didn't have plates yet and still had Capitol Chevrolet placards. Surprisingly, I saw no Leafs today.
didn't see one today. saw a white Volt last week on Highway 34 coming into Corvallis, Oregon. Saw a blue one heading out to the coast on Highway 20, just past Philomath, OR last week.
I'm up to 5 already*... The place is swarming with them... Even took a pic of my Prius next to one in a parkinglot Could finally take a peek at the rear-seats. The reason it's not an option for me with 3 kids... *: Ampera's and Volts combined. I think they must be company cars, as they are leasecartax-exempt, whereas normals cars will add up to 25% of the new-price of a car to your salary. (A car in the Volt's pricerange will cost the user of such a lease car up to 5k a year extra in tax versus nothing for a Volt (and 2k for a Prius))
Went to lunch at Panera today, and when I came out low and behold a volt parked next to me. I wonder if he parked next to a fellow "greenie" or if it was just the last open spot. Anyway, I got to look inside one for the first time and it was pretty good looking. The only thing I don't like on the outside is the gray plastic that runs around the perimeter of the car. If it was piano black like the back of the trunk, it would look much better in my opinion. I see quite a few of these running around the richmond area.
I am annoyed by this too. In the old days they just put a middle seat in even if the passenger had to straddle the tunnel with a transmission in it. Why can't they still do that? Its just annoying to me. I could put a car seat in the middle, babies don't need leg room it turns out...
As an average, I will see about 1 Volt per month in the Washington / Baltimore area. I usually see about 30+ Prii per day (of all models and generations - some Gen 1's even.) I commute from a Baltimore suburb to downtown Washington most days, and I count Prii and other greenies as a diversion. There are up to 10 parked Prii in the 3 blocks between where I park and where I work.
