charging the Prime.....

    I'm a little late on the discussion, but regarding interrupted charging.

    On device except the prius, yanking the plug 16 amps at 240 volts could produce an arc.

    The prius gets an advanced notice, and it is the "trigger" you have to pull in order to remove the plug.
    Prius removes the load the instant the trigger is pulled.
    Verified with my inductive coil and a o-scope.
