Charging the 12v battery

Not sure I understand, but the fuse box is where I've hooked up my charger, no problems. Hook up positive lead to the little copper bar under the red cap in the fuse box. Negative lead to a ground point. There's a bolt sticking out on the driver's side of the engine itself, right across from the fuse box, that I use for ground connection.

 

Yes, the dedicated positive jumpstart terminal is connected directly to the 12V battery, which is located in the right rear corner of the hatch floor.
