Roger. In this case at least, it’s not likely that it’s due to the AC running, since it was not performing a scheduled charge, and the temperatures were pretty moderate, but I can’t 100% rule that out.
I've never seen it run the AC on it's own, except for the traction battery cooler which might run at the beginning of the charge cycle. If the battery gets too hot while charging it appears to just lower the charging rate.
Even as warm as it often is here in Austin (TX) I can’t recall it running the traction battery cooler. Perhaps it has and I just didn’t notice.
I’ve noticed charge rates fluctuate when the ambient temperature is really high so I don’t think it’s a problem with the charger as much as a problem with the car.
