I know that they do it, but what is in it for a dealership to allow a competitor's brand to charge at their charging station? I can see allowing their own brand, since you might be inclined to use them for service if they let you charge. I know that it is possible that the dealership group might also own a dealership of the car's brand, but that doesn't seem to be a factor.
no - it goes Way Beyond just supporting your own. It was back in the 1960s, that department stores finally figured out you build good customer repore when you talk up the competition, when the competition necessarily has something better. Once you do that, you actually build something called faith - & trust, in what you're actually saying. At one point - we had completely written off nissan & their stealerships. Then - once we had an extremely positive experience using their dc high speed charger on our ono nissan, it was such a positive experience that it gave us a little bit more of a willingness to give 'em one more try. There was a little less skepticism for their entire organization. . .
My work place just told me they were getting electric car charges installed in the next couple of months so I am stoked. Not sure what brand but I really hope it's ChargePoint as that would be really convenient.
