Meaning that it's a one-time setting? That is, when you get home and plug in for your scheduled overnight charge, you don't need to switch it back to non-charge-now mode? iPhone ? Pro
Depending on the EVSE you install, you may be able to leave your Prime set to "charge now" and set your EVSE at home to charge at the time necessary to have a full charge in the morning. I have the JuiceBox Pro from eMotorWerks & it let's me do that.
Okay hope somebody can weigh in on this I know I've seen it I'm not in front of my manual. At a public charging station I remember seeing at some point in all my settings that when it's through charging and if I have the charging cable locked to my car, when it's through charging there's an option to allow it to release so someone could Detach It from my car and start plugging it into there's. Where do I find that setting again? Please help
Alternate way to force your car to "charge now" if you don't want to hit buttons. Plug the charger in the port. Then immediately remove charger and re-plug it in. This should cause the car to go into "charge now" operation. I tried it once and it works. You will know if it works when the green light shows up next to the plug in port.
That's good to know, but I think the OP was interested in something a little different: Releasing the charger automatically when done with it. iPhone ? Pro
Yes, I park Occasionally at whole foods grocery market which has free charging. And I don't want my car Hogging the charge port when My car is recharging. This will allow someone to walk up to my car Unplug it from their car and plug it into there's.The video that "mr88cet" provided Was perfect it's what I remember having seen gone through the settings I was looking at the screen display Not the options On the dash And using the steering wheel
