The C is annoyingly small in the back seat.
Imo, you should make sitting in the back seat part of the test drive.

I did, and couldn't take it.
Also, smaller cars are less safe in a crash..

The Prius hatchback was not that much more expensive than the C.
I went with the hatchback, no regrets.

BTW, IMO, it is NOT worth paying more for Certified Pre-Owned.
Because Priuses are very very reliable cars.
Do your due diligence-- take it to a good Prius mechanic before buying, etc, but if it checks out, IMO, the odds of getting a perfectly fine used Prius privately is sky-high, making certified pre-owned, on average, (imo) overpriced.

That said...yes, there are people who never change their oil, etc.
You are always rolling the dice. But a well-maintained Prius should shine.

When I bought my Prius, last September, I got a certified pre-owned. I was so new to Prius, and had such a tight time-window (old car was totalled), that I didn't have time to fully vet the technology.

Now I know more. I'll purchase the next Prius (for my son) off of Craigslist.

In 2-5 years, if technology advances as is predicted, we will sell them all while they still have value and take driver-less Uber/Lyft.

Yeah, the visibility in a Prius is just OK.

Learn how to adjust your mirrors so that there are no blind spots. (there are tutorials on Youtube)

I find visibility in a Prius definitely good enough. No regrets.
HOWEVER if anyone else ever drives my car and I know that they are not good at managing visibility issues, I'd have a talk and give tips before handing over the keys.
