    How about Owen Wilson. He talked about his Prius on Leno some months back and said that he really liked the car but didn't know that his purchase would earn him a place in a sub-culture.

    Harrison Ford..I saw him come out of my favorite tandoori chicken place in West LA and was waiting for his parking space. He drives a black prius.

    I read that about 50 members of the House of Representatives now drive Priuses. Even if that can cynically be construed as a cheap way of making a political statement, I was glad to hear it.

    The Federal government SHOULD now be the biggest purchaser of Priuses---don't know if they are, though. Lots of state and local governments now buy them. Celebrities? No. Smart? Yep.

    Come to think of it, many of us should be showing up at our jurisdictions' budget hearings and asking what kinds of passenger cars they plan on buying for elected officials and staff. Many of them still have good-old-boy contracts with their local Chevy/Ford dealers. Their purchasing departments should be asked to re-write the bid specs for sedans, or they'll never change.

    Couple winters ago he got a ticket in it, parked, left powered up and in drive. Got out and the Prius marched right up to a waiting policeman right on its own. :D :D

    Well I wrote the theme for Battlestar Galactica, so among you Battlestar fans I'm a celebrity by association. I've also influenced several other Prius purchases - John Schultz, the director of Like Mike and The Honeymooners, David Kitay, fellow film composer (Bad Santa amongst others), and I think my pal Jonathan Davis of Korn is finally getting one after driving in mine.
