When was Wyoming admitted into the union as a state and what was the population at that time?

    Yeah.
    I know.... :)
    I dislike rhetorical questions too.
    1890, and about 62,000.

The point is....population is more or less pointless since about fall, 1787.
    Before then?
You needed a specific number (20,000 iirc)

    Now?
    YMMV.

Wyoming was admitted back when congresscritters represented an average of 173,000 people each.

Now they represent an average of about 750,000 people each. If elevated to "real" states, DC would get one, PR four.

Is the ignore button broken? This dude talks total nonsense and threatens physical violence like how he wants to use his shotgun that he says he named the loaded bullets in it to kill people who he thinks might try to steal his catalytic converter and I'm certain I pressed "ignore" on him so I wouldn't ever seem him again. What went wrong?

Lets take etc(ss) to court and charge him with inciting violence on PC. Then “doctor” up retweets by etc(ss) like Eric swalwell (member of the US government representative) did and present the information legitimate. Oh wait, we know the result of that already

If somebody wishes to use the 'ignore user' feature, it's quite easy to do....and I encourage it.

    1. Left click on the avatar of the person that you intend to ignore.

    B. Stare at the stats with wonderment.

III. Select the green "Ignore" word to the right of the user's avatar. (another right click, please)

    d. Observe that the word changed to "Unignore"

five. You did it! Award yourself a participation trophy and bask in the warm glow of knowing that this person's readership has just been reduced by one.

If the ignore button had not failed me I'd of been none the wiser... Guess there was an inadvertent mouse click be me?
More important, I highly recommend clicking on annoying people's profile and click the "ignore" button... It's done wonders for me maintaining polite behavior on here.

As for Eric Swalwell, it sounds like some interesting stuff. Do you have any links so I can learn more?

Cops are a last resort of physical force and their funding needs to reflect that. Like parking attendants taking over traffic enforcement and accident reporting. Also mental health services, loss prevention services, conflict resolution and mediation, instant court cases via phone app are all ways to keep dishonest cops out of our day to day societal needs.

We need to limit the use of force and limit the amount of times corrupt police unions can defend corrupt violent racist cops that lack the moral character to be in a position of authority.

These barbaric times where prison doesn't reform people, where your skin color determines how ok it is for you to be murdered without consequence needs to end. How to fund that change is the exact opposite of what you think "defund the police" means.

My local Toyota stealership quoted over $400 to install a shield. I purchased my Cat Security shield for $125, and Greg's Japanese Auto installed it for $135 (very fast, nice service).

I do recommend to Prius owners in the Seattle area that they get protection. We've been hit hard.

:edit: So through Toyota, the Gen 4 Miller Cat is $130 plus $15 s/h.
If you go directly to the Miller Cat website, it's $140 with free s/h.

So Toyota doesn't appear to be marking up the shield itself. I would just warn people about the installation fees at a Toyota dealership. Any garage with a lift should be able to install the shield (although I prefer my hybrid shops).

$400 labor!!! Yikes! Were they just going to let it sit on the lift an hour or two before they decided to work on it? LoL

They have to charge extra because they don't know how and they have to figure it out. As in no training time means you pay for extra time!

Probably! The great thing is there are like 2-3 minute installation videos by the cat shield companies. I could do it myself if I had a lift and the tools, and I'm not particularly mechanically inclined.

Bah, they can you tube it like anyone else. LOL.

I put mine on in about 30-40 minutes. On ramps, in my garage. That includes the time to drill and install the rivet nut inserts.

Interesting video on installing riv-nuts in tight places, where cumbersome tool would prove difficult, or impossible:

For how hard to tighten it, I like his expression “don’t go mad”. :)

I live one city over from where the guy got crushed in Anaheim. I want to get protected ASAP. Is the cat security shield the best option? The ones on amazon the same? I see the cat is $160 for a Gen 3 2015 like I have. I have a mechanic I've been going to a long time so I am sure he can install it and if not, can recommend someone that can. I live in a pretty safe area but my car is parked on the street so I seem to be tempting fate. A one time $300-$400 bill is worth the piece of mind I'll have knowing my car is a lot safer and much cheaper than the thousands a new one could cost.

I have been doing more research and found this thread Catalytic converter protection: Auto Defender vs. Cat Shield? | Page 2 | PriusChat
    This post stood out:
Professionals thieves prefer Gen 2's. One cut and two bolts to remove.

    Gen 3's cats are tougher to remove;

Because of the heat exchanger, four strategic cuts need to be made, and hot sticky smelly red coolant will spew out and pool below the car. There is NO way to avoid the coolant coming out. After that, the thief needs to lay in a pool of coolant with a long extension and ratchet to take off the bolts. The cats are closed together and in a very tight place that makes it hard to use a bulky battery powered Sawzall. Otherwise, the right front tire needs to be jacked up and removed. A 12 inch or longer Sawzall blade is then needed to reach the attachment pipe.

    Gen 4's are even tougher.

I have a Gen 3 so I am less likely to be hit. I assume thieves can tell right away what Gen the toyota is. It would still be worth getting though I would think. How many here have their cat protected?

I had to make a few adjustments on mine this weekend. Since it’s bolted on, I took the rear five bolts and the two middle front ones and added a 1/2 chrome spacer and slightly longer bolts. It. I longer buffets off the exhaust at highway speeds.
