Weird looking electric cars... The Mazda Kaan... still only a concept I think... The Venturi... The Eliica... Chrysler Peapod... The Lohasian... And they are stackable... The Mitsubishi iMiEV... The Bamgoo... and electric made with Bamboo... The new Pininfarina electric...
Three Wheeler Electrics... The Peugeot by David Vargas... The XR3... The BUGEV... The SAM... The Triac... The Electric T-Rex... The Sparrow... The ZAP Alias... The ZAP Xebra... The Twike... The Tango... A Reliant... The TREV... And the Aptera...
I like the looks of some of those electrics. There are some interesting 'crossovers' between bicycles and EVs, mostly around streamlined, enclosed bicycles called velomobiles. Here are a few variations:
Because today was the INDY... I have to admit I like an open wheeled racer designed for the Brickyard... The early ones are my favorites... I've never seen this kind of one, but I have others... The first INDY in 1911 was won by a Marmon Wasp, driven by Ray Harroun. I read about the Chevrolet Bros working on Fords before they became their own company... they specialized in making faster Fords... here's a 21 Fronty Ford... This is a Miller... A Ferrari and a Peugeot... A Kurtis... AJ in his first winning car at INDY... A Gurney Eagle...
I'm kinda partial to the Le Mans prototypes, myself, but the older open wheel racers certainly have their appeal. Here's another shot of the Eagle, and one of the famous shark nose Ferrari, from back when Indy and Formula 1 cars looked more similar than they do today.
VW Bug conversions... A baja... An electric Baja... Delivery Types that ain't a Type II... Made to look like a Ford or a Rolls... Well this is a Willis I think... More Rolls...
Smiled when I was taking the pictures. Smiled again when I recently discovered I still had my old slides from the 1967 Daytona Continental. Bruce McLaren Porsche Ferrari 330 P4 Ford GT40 Ford GT Winning Ferraris at beginning of race. Ferrari came in 1-2-3

Thanks Bra... nice link... :tea: That was a real sports car... I've seen some of em up close, and may have seen that one once upon a time, they are fine machines. There is a fella down the road from my home that has one of the Ford GTs in blue with a white stripe... I see him drive by my street every week or so... it is sex on wheels.
I saw this today at a rod run and car show. It gave me a chuckle. A 1938 White limo bus, fully restored. The top is laced on with big rope, and is quickly removable for a total open air experience. Inside the owner took the original seats and moved them into more of a limo configuration, plus added a bar. All windows roll down, and they've been converted to electric. Drive train is no longer the White flathead 6 but a big block Chevy for reliability. You can see this pic in a larger format in my album.
I've always been a sucker for classic Detroit cars and the Toyota Cressida/Supra, back from their glory days of the 80s...
Yikes, rescued from page 8! Goggomobil Dart Year Built: 1959 Country Of Origin: Australia History: Based on a German mini car but with Australian design, the Dart was a minor success. The one pictured here has a driver's-side door. http://jalopnik.com/5319143//gallery/?selectedImage=1
Spectra, A cool little car for sure. Aussies must love it to death as there are many pix of it on the web. In the pix, of equal interest to me is the little mono-wheel trailer in the background. Surely a Prius could tow that! Poking around the www looking at Goggomobil Dart pix, I ran across these two webpages that are compilations of pix of even more wonderfully weird small cars that'll make you : Dark Roasted Blend: World's Smallest Cars Dark Roasted Blend: World's Smallest Cars, Part 2 Enjoy!
I think the Goggomobil mechanics were primitive & simplistic, but the body design is pretty advanced for 1959 ... or even today. :car:
