LOL - I'd buy that... of course he always covers himself by saying "Why didn't you honk, I would have come down and helped" to which I reply, "Good, because I left the groceries on the floor, you can put them away now." :)

I had a Stebel Nautilus horn when I had my civic. That will get you noticed.

Nice job, ftl! I just got a WOLO Bad Boy horn and am thinking of trying to put it in the stock horn location. I'm able to find and remove 3 plastic pegs from the radiator cover but am unable to locate the other pegs for complete removal of the cover. Do you know if there are more than 3 pegs, and if so, do you know the location of all of them? Also, is this cover is easily removable? I don't think the WOLO horn will fit in the opening if it isn't removed (or perhaps even if it is removed). Thanks!

I think to completely remove the radiator top cover you would first have to take off the front bumper, as noted in other posts. But with the fasteners removed the top cover can be bent towards the front of the car to give enough working room for the horn change, as long as your hands aren't too big.

The WOLO horn is pretty huge, so that would be the concern, but I'll see what I can do.

    Thanks for the info!

This guy didn't like my horn at all. He got out to let me know how upset he was. Notice he forgot to shift to park.

IMO, it's kind of dangerous when doing that.

My friend witnessed an horrible incident in a winter few years back. There's a car cut off a sedan in front of my friend's car on the freeway entrance and that sedan made a long horn. That car stopped, door opened and a guy in a black leather jacket walked back to the sedan driver side. Then he pulled out a gun and shot the driver and the passenger multiple times before calmly walking back, not run, to his car and drove off. People around and my friend were shocked, ducked to avoid more flying bullets then called 911 but the people in the sedan were dead at the scene. People were able to describe the gunman and the vehicle he's driving but with only partial license plate # because at the shooting time they all tried to save themselves from the bullets. It didn't help either when later they found out that's a stolen car.

My friend told me after that he hasn't used the horn for a long time. About me, I don't remember the last time I used horn, way way before my friend told me that story.

Generally speaking, I only use my horn to alert someone of potential danger... them backing out of a parking space without looking so they are about to hit me... a pedestrian about to walk in front of my moving car, those sorts of things. I long ago stopped using my horn to express anger or displeasure. Too many nut jobs out there as described by DKTVAV... it just isn't worth it. Besides, I get much more personal satisfaction just screaming expletives which they can't hear.

Yeah, I admit that wasn't smart of me to do that. DW didn't like my honking either.

i think the easiest horn people have installed are the toyota premium horns. they have been the best quality and since are OEM are a simple install.

    Thank you!

Does anyone have an OEM part number for a Premium Toyota horn that will plug-n-play into the Prius C?

    :)
