Car won't open after not used awhile

    Thanks for the update. (We get a few posters who don't give any feedback once they fix the problem.)

    You can jumper the battery to start the Prius and then keep it in Ready to attempt recharging the 12V battery. BE CAREFUL to get the polarity right for the 12V jump if you do this. Follow the manual closely. Many have discovered that a mistake here can cost thousands of dollars.

    I have this same issue with my 2005 Prius and have followed all of these steps including the WD-40, key will turn about 1/4 turn to the left, but door still won't open. Any suggestions?
