    If this sort of situation happens to you often enough for you to have to train your passengers, you probably ought to review your driving habits.

    ok, ya. if "lifting" or "pushing" weight, sure 225 lbs is a lot but...

    the strength available to us varies greatly by the position of our leg. in the driving position, the leg is "nearly extended" which means pressure on the pedal is simply locking the leg and using your back muscles against the seat to exert pressure. 225 lbs is literally nothing for the "average" human being
