    i have a vin number and a delivery date of 9/25/09 but didn't get any other info from my dealer. is there a way to tell what ship it could be on? it's coming into jacksonville and i'd love to follow her progress. thanks, tracy

    TracyJ your ship is most likely the Sunbelt Spirit. You'll need vesseltracker to see it at the canal and when it gets to jacksonville(if the ais is turned on there and it hasn't been very much lately.) marinetraffic may show it if it come aroud west cuba.

    it seems the only ships this month for newark is

    sunbelt spirit
    cetus leader?
    overseas joyce?


    my lease is up at the end of september and i need a car in the next 2 1/2 weeks or i have to bail

    :) Thank You for posting the Car Carrier Ship Tracking for all these months. While I was waiting for my car during July and August '09, I found your thread helped to ease the wait and give me hope. ...and then, I spotted the ship that was most likely carrying my car.... how awesome was that! I knew my Prius was really on its way ... and the very next week, it was here! So thanks for giving all those waiting a little sunshine along the way!

    There is a ship do in Jacksonville ~9/18. Right behind the Sunbelt. The Joyce? The next 3 are big ships so maybe lots of Pri'I.

    Edit: See the Joyce is still aways out at sea, NE of Hawaii, Sunbelt off Baha headed to Panama.

    Great news, dealer called today, no VIN but is on the New Century 2. Just minutes from docking at Portland. Thanks for the info on the ships. :):)

    I'm in northwest Washington State and have been told that my car should be ready on about the 15th and that it is coming on the New Century 2 which your site says arrived in Portland yesterday and now sounds like it is on its way back out to sea as it has again passed Longview, WA which is downriver from Portland. Do all the Prius' headed into this area offload in Portland or does the ship come on up to Seattle or Tacoma to offload more cars? I don't have a VIN yet but it should be soon. Waiting is the pits!

    Offloads only at Portland for NW US then New Westminster for Canada.

    thanks, this is helpful info for this months end of car lease/new car buying extravaganza.

    the dealer said that they would be assigned a car but so far have not been given a vin.

    if i don't get a vin i know i don't have a car. if i do get a vin i can narrow down when its coming to the dealership.

    This is my first time posting on these forums. I just placed an order at a local dealer 2 days ago and I was wondering if I can get some info on the Vessel that is carrying my baby.

    See post 1 of this thread. Marinetraffic is best for LA. May go to SF/Benicia first. Will see it 2 or 3 days out if lucky. Or way out at sea if sending weather data.

    I think the "07" should be "09" and it just sailed from Toyohashi. Should be headed to Long Beach if Dealer info correct.

    Overseas Joyce still tracking to the south like its headed to Cen Am, Panama, and East.

    Do you know how long it usually takes to get to Long Beach from Toyohashi. I know I am asking for so much but I am so excited to get my Prius. I already paid it off in full now I just need it to arrive.

    If you look at the first page of this thread you can see previous voyages and estimate how long a ship takes to port. In this case about 13 days. You can also click the name of the ship (Highlighted) and see a plot of its current position.
