Can't disable seatbelt beep

I just want to know how to stop the beep. I drive from my sons school to home and its like 2 miles and its like 25 mph I'm not worried about a crash.

 

Unfortunately, there are people (adults even) who make decisions on limited data input and think they know better than the people who are making decisions using the complete set of input data. We are at the point where the less able expect the authorities to protect them from themselves, and bureaucracy responds in kind.

Perhaps we should leave Darwin to sort out.

 

And THAT is exactly the problem.
You should be VERY worried about a crash........any time you are moving outside of your driveway.
Something like 80% of accidents happen within 5 miles of home.
And a crash at 25 mph can be fatal without a restraint in place......especially since you don't know the size or speed of the other vehicle that might be involved.
Do you require your son to buckle up for that same trip ?
If not, I feel really sorry for him.
Done.

 

exactly. if I die cause I didn't buckle up, you can leave my Darwin award with the dragon lady.

Your 10 mph is meaningless if the other car is a speeding DUI driver.

Yeah it's unbelievable that this even needs to be debated.

 

Don't confuse him with facts, his mind is already made up.

 

Just for giggles, when you're watching a movie or show: take note of how many people are shown NOT wearing seatbelts. As often as not they're smoking too.

 

some of y'all would be mortified if you knew how many times I buried the speedo in my chevelle with no seatbelt on... damn that was a blast...

 

maybe we should move this to freds house of tobacco.

 

I'm new and where can I find how to disable the backup beep? A search from here didn't find anything.

The directions in the first post there worked for me.

 

I have disabled the beep about four times -- the latest last week. It still took me three tries to get it to work.

 

Sensor broken, really dude.....
