Thanks Richard P! I think my car is starting to look alot better now, and less like a Vancouver taxi. Your Prius convinced me to get the mouldings, I hope they mount it at the same height. Your car is going to look great with tint and you're lucky that in Quebec you're legally allowed to put 70% on the fronts too.
Haha, "stand on guard for trees", good one! :D

We are allowed to put a 15cm band on the top of the windshield, that's all.

70% for the driver and passenger windows and no rules for the rear and the hatchback windows.

N-Motion? Nice. I've heard about them (got their site bookmarked).

Hopefully Newton Whalley doesn't use Blue Ribbon for their paint. Their colour is dark blue and white.

I filled up my Prius for the first time today; 34,7 liters for 746 kilometers for an average of 4,65 l/100km.

    My best : 4.3 l/100 km on a 251 km stretch.

I than reset the Trip statistic and for now, I have 3,7 l/100 km for the first 32 kilometers of the second tank !

Not too bad for a new Prius owner !

I'm leaving for Montreal tomorrow for a two weeks trip to Costa Rica. We rent a 4X4. I will miss my Black Beauty. I'm considering canceling my trip (My wife would propably disagree !)

That's a great first tank! You can post it in the 2010 MPG stats thread so that everyone else can see it.

Thought I'd do a Prius update. Here's he is after a wax and with Toyota side mouldings installed. And yes, I have the wheel center caps on order. The mouldings are barely noticable and I think they actually enhance it's looks a bit, more so than the aftermarket American mouldings...
I'm still averaging around 5L/100k total; I live in a hilly area so I don't think that's helping my mileage.

Yep, you ARE from Vancouver! Were you at the Art Gallery on April 20th? :D
My car doesn't really have a name but I sometimes call him Pri for short, not too original. All I know is he's male for sure, although a bit of a fruity blueberry boy.

I didn't alter the colour at all on those shots, that's how deep he looks on even a bright and sunny day. You getting your baby soon? You're getting the sunroof too right? I saw a blue 2010 with sunroof driving around here in Van a couple weeks ago, looked sharp and I felt just a tiny pang of jealousy! Also a silver with sunroof on Cambie yesterday.

That's the thing. I've browsed through all the photos on the Official Owners' Pics thread and Blue Ribbon has a lotta shades. It looks a lot better on the 2010 than it does on the Gen 6 Camry.

I hope so. A couple of things are delaying it. I'm hoping to get it soon so at least I can do a drive back home before the snow starts flying. Yeah I'm getting the Tech Pack.

The one I saw on the shore was a Winter Grey with the covers removed. Not sure where my brother saw the Blue Ribbon.

How can you even think about that in this 30c July weather? We likely won't see snow until December, at least. Oh wait, you're in Edmonton. Yeah, better get moving. :smow:

Yeah... drive as fast as I can ... out of that province =P (no offense to Albertans hehe.. just a little friendly B.C. rivalry). Yeah it's been a quiet summer.... except for last Saturday as I'm sure you've all read (or saw on the news).

    Hi everyone,

I'm back from vacation and I got my car tinted. I decided to go from 50% in front to 70% for the back windows. Here's some pics taken yesterday afternoon.

I now have approx. 2000 km on the odo and I really enjoyed each one of it ! I keep learning but I've been able to improve my driving technics. Last week, I reached 4.1 l/100Km for a 587 Km trip with air conditionning on 50% of the time and hilly road (Charlevoix). For now my average is 3.9 for the last 120km.

    Have fun ![IMG]

Very nice... do you mean 70 front, 50 rear? I assume the front is lighter than the rear? Looks very sharp and fantastic mileage too!

On my bill it was written 50% front. I believe it's an evaluation of the transparency or something like this !

    BTW, I added 55 km today and I reached 3.8 l/100km for the last 175km !

My son borrowed my Prius tonight. He likes the car when the Power Mode is activated. Hasta la vista 3.8 !

Your car is looking great, and I wish I could get mileage numbers like you're getting! I should probably learn to keep the AC off once in awhile eh?
Tideland, what happened "last Saturday" (now about 2 weeks ago)? :D I've been camping out for the last week and missing all the news, and the Priuschatting.
