CAN-View Data Analysis, Complete with Charts

    Regenerative coasting current variation with speed shows quite clearly on my ScanGaugeII. The effect is extremely strong between about five and 20 mph, as the controller makes a smooth transition from substantial drag braking at 20 to appreciable creep at five. But I think there is also a moderate effect of increasing regeneration current with speed for a least a while above 20 mph.

    My glide tests (post 26 above) had me and others wondering whether the lower battery draw with neutral glides translated to improved fuel economy. Here is a comparison I recently completed:
