Can using CHG Mode be more efficient?

    I didn't perform a carefully controlled experiment for the mileage aspect as I was only intending to test the charge rate. The trip was about 20 miles with 1,000 feet of net elevation gain. I make that trip on HV usually getting about 50 mpg. On this trip I made about 1/3 of it in HV, and 1/3 in CHG mode, and 1/3 EV for a net 45 MPG.

    Next time try 1/2 in CHG and 1/2 on EV and see if it improves the overall MPG. Still, 45mpg vs 50mpg may not be statistically significant. I get 5 mpg difference day to day driving just on HV mode the same route very similar conditions.
