Can I buy a Prime in Florida?

I might have asked you before but I can't remember for sure: Was this from the dealership in Lakewood, NY, or somewhere else? I have already saved Luv Toyota in my "Hunting for Primes" folder that I keep on my desktop, but so far it's a "no-go"!

 

Would you let me / us know the name of the dealership in RI? (I've still got LOTS of room in my "Hunting for Primes" folder... ....) I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one 'round here doing out-of-state searches... and thanks....

PS: It's been two full months now since ordering a "Premium"... I'm starting to think about settling for a "Plus"... which is not ALL "bad news" as I really prefer the fabric to the SofTex!

 

Those of us having trouble even FINDING the darned things can only keep our fingers crossed at this point!

 

Huntington Toyota on Long Island. Minimal PDI though. Maine dealers have the best deals. Try Berlin City Toyota, Portland, or Lee Toyota, Topsham

 

have you looked in maine? if you browse the pricing thread, a member from texas got 5k off up there, and provided the dealership.

 

Hummm, gold-leaf window tinting? Mr. Fusion auxiliary generator? JATO take-off assist?

I placed an order with josh Stewart palm beach by phone on April he called me recently gave me the vin # and told me the car will be arriving July 10

 

I traded in a 2012 v and didn't test drive my Prime either. I must say, it has exceeded my expectations, totally.

 

You'll love it, there's no doubt, that color combo is extra sharp, and the car itself is even better. My commute is a bit over 35 miles each way and I can only charge at home, so i'm only under electric about a third of the time -- I've averaged 85MPG overall since I bought it! It's performing even better than I thought it would as I was thinking *maybe* 80MPG. I've put 470 miles on it and I still have just over half a tank of gas. I like the way it drives under electric more than HV, but it's very capable in any mode. True, it's not fast over all, but not filling the tank up in 800 miles has its charms too, and much more my type of performance!

 

The Prius Prime with standard TSS-P is terrific bargain. The honorable competition has not figured that out so they jack up their equivalent with $2-3,000 of car bling. They haven't figured out that safety sells.

I haven't been around for several days, but I want to thank those who have given me "hunting tips" (sorry if I missed anyone above).... As of Friday early afternoon, I hadn't heard anything via phone or e-mail (regarding the Prime "special order" we placed on the 1st of May) from my sales rep / from the dealership where we bought our '08 Prius, so I made the nearly 60 mile trip (that's each way) later that afternoon to visit the dealership in person. THEORETICALLY, our Prime is VERY close to being built.

I'm not really sure what all of this means, but the sales supervisor I spoke with (my sales rep was off that day) gave me a print-out, highlighted one of the vehicle entries (which included "the first half of the VIN"), assured me that THAT car was "mine" (It would have been nice to see my NAME on the form, though!), and it SHOULD be arriving by late-August to mid-September. So, at least for now, I won't be doing any more out-of-state "hunting"...

...I'll just be practicing PATIENCE... ... yeah ... ... right... .....

PS: I'm ALSO "glad to hear such good things about this car"... I probably won't be getting any "deals" either (except the federal tax credit... IF that remains in effect!) on our Prime / Premium, but for what it's worth we also ordered the Blue Magnetism with Moonstone interior. We STILL wish there was a fabric "option" though... REALLY nice "seat covers" might be an added expense to consider once the car FINALLY gets here....
