"C" is out! Gen 3 is a maybe. v is crazy!

I saw that too. I guess with the 17" tires the sloppiness of the ESAS is not so pronounced. Despite the bump in the rear I think it is a great car. I'm concerned about how big the bump is on the Energi, however, because it is listed has having even less room.

 

I live in the UK and we've had the C-Max for a while. We even have the Grand C-Max with the sliding doors and extra rear seats.

I can't comment on the hybrid system, but as a car, its nothing to get excited about. The interior is more Fiesta than anything else in the range. Nothing great, just ok.

 

Thanks for the info. I think the hybrid system, to most people on a site like this, is the selling point.

 

Sure, it looks odd, but I'll reserve judgement until I see how functional the folded down rear compartment is

 

I wonder if this will turn out to be the case. E.g., by many accounts (albeit by fanbois) the Volt is a cut above the Cruze in fit and finish and reliability even though both cars might be expected to be identical except for the hybrid engineering.

 

2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid [w/video]

Here's a review of the Ford. A stylish car indeed but certainly not a Prius beater, even in 0-60 times. The load floor looks particularly botched. Otherwise, meh...

 

This bit jumped out at me as being a bit odd... Is there really a perception that a Prius is hard to drive? Sure, many owners change their driving habits, but you drive it just like any other car. (Particularly the models with traditional keys.) Strange.
