C Color Selection

I was told a long time ago that green was actually considered an unlucky color for cars and that it would attract gremlins- sure enough (although correlation is NOT causation), the minute that my old boyfriend had his '68 MG painted "British Racing Green", it had nothing but issues!

It's a British MG... those things are notorious for having issues.

 

For practical reasons, high visibility is good. There's a reason they paint fire engines red and yellow: So you'll see them before you run into them. On the other hand, flamboyant colors annoy me; I'd rather be anonymous and nondescript. I'd rule out black and dark gray for being not visible enough at night. I'd rule out white because it's too quick to look dirty. That leaves Silver Metallic looking good, or maybe Summer Rain or Habanero if they're not too flashy.

 

I would've loved a bright green, like the one offered on the Mazda 2 or Fiesta. I got a blue C and aside from wishing it were a deeper/more cobalt blue, I like it.

Bright yellow would've been nice, too.

 

I promise the Habanero is plenty flashy.
