So, I am working on a new project!! I really really hate carrying 2 different remotes.. one for my garage and one for my gate. I didn't want the rearview mirror with Homelink.. soo.. I went ahead and started hacking up my car and used a purchased homelink module with rolling code from ebay.

It is a very tiite fit.. and I still need to wire it up. Ran out of time since I am leaving town for a little while for vacation.. So, I will wire it up when I get back.. Just wanted to show you guys where it is at! Looks great and looks factory! Because of the size of the homelink unit, this was the only way to get it to mount.. I had to hack up the box of the unit really really good.. and i still need to make sure the buttons touch the circuit board correctly, but I will take care of this when I get back .. Hope you guys like it!

I did take pics while installing it, so if I have time I will make a DIY.

    Looks great!!

I'm looking at your Blitz wheels and they appear to have a slight concave to them. I looked them up online and they appear to be pretty flat. Are they slightly concaved?

I'm glad I came across you're thread. I really like the tail light tint, cup holder solution, and H techs. Can you comment how the H techs ride?

Did you get it wired ok? Also, how exactly did you install it? Is it mounted on the sunglasses storage area (I have a non-NAV, non-sunroof Prius, so the map light panels in your Prius are not familiar to me).

More to the point, is there a way to easily remove the entire map light frame (where the clear panels are mounted)? I'd like to get under there to mount a Homelink switch, but I'd also like to change out that danged LED that lights the center console (and perhaps replace it with an LED of a different color).

I lived in SoCal for 18 months with no issues & my cars all had 20% tint on them. In my Prius & 09 Corolla I drive with the sunshade for the sunroof open. I like the light coming in but it also makes the tint look lighter when cops are around. ;)

Did you have to roll your fenders with the Tein H-tech and 18x8 combo?

They look like stock tailights wrapped in red vinyl much like what Bzyrice has. Don't see the point of spending that much for what looks like OEM wrapped in vinyl.

Hey guys.. Almost forgot about this thread.. Life is crazy rut now.. So car is on hold.. New job, new house, new wife.. And a baby on the way! So my time I can spend on cars is quite small now..to answer some questions..
The taillights do not look dull in real life.. They look like any other taillights that are red.
I did not have to roll my fenders for these wheels..
I did not finish wiring my home link yet.. No time!
Yes, I lost about 4mpg with this setup..

I just took the wheels off because I need new tires.. And have verified that I lost 4 mpg..

Thanks! Actually just put the wheels back on so I could feel safer driving around with my precious new cargo when it comes!

Forgot how much nicer the car looks with the wheels. First day I put them back on i was at a gas station and someone asked me what year Prius was and where I got the parts for it then said it was the nicest one he ever saw lol. Caught someone taking a pic of it at the mall yesterday too haha so I am loving the Prius again.

I will post a few pics here tomorrow.. Looking to purchase a few things for the car, so I will be on here more often again!
