Mach-E looks sharp I really like it, but it is not very practical as bZX4 or Solterra. Even EV6 or Ioniq5 do not have good ground clearance. For a good reason, it is "less" expensive than Model Y by ~$20K. Edit: with a full tax credit, it is ~$27.5K "less" expensive. Very good reason to choose it over Model Y.
Yeah after watching a few videos about the reviews for bZX4, they compare it favorably with other EVs they've tested. It has really good efficiency for vehicle that has over 8 inches of ground clearance, really good ride, and nice handling. I think I'd probably go for the XLE FWD simply because I'm used to the Prime being FWD, I can use my wife's old Venza 19" snows that I still have (like the Motormouth review suggested), and the $2,000 drive clean rebate will bring the price to slightly over $42,000.
Sporty look but is not very utilitarian. The ground clearance is only 5.7" not much different from Prius.
Yes but as the Motormouth review said the others don't feel like an SUV like the bZ4X because of its ground clearance. The Subaru sister (Solterra) has slightly more ground clearance even though they are the same vehicle.
That sounds more like a cover for the actual reason they won't get the car, and I think they would be up front if it was because of long expected delivery times from Toyota. From what @Salamander_King has said, the available charging infrastructure to him is pretty dismal no matter the make.

I read the announcement on the global Toyota site (Toyota to Launch All-New bZ4X BEV on May 12 in Japan | Toyota | Global Newsroom | Toyota Motor Corporation Official Global Website) and a couple of things stuck out at me. eAxle, integrating motor, transaxle and inverter (a first for Toyota) Electricity Supply Unit (ESU) consolidates charging and power distribution functions (a first for Toyota) However, after watching the Alex on Autos review, he pretty much verified what we all knew, that the AWD gets the CATL battery which has the same number of cells (96) but can store a touch more. He then indicated that the battery is what is slowing the DC charge rate down. It may be that Toyota may not have enough experience with the CATL battery and are playing it safe to ensure they stay 90% after ten years.
Maybe the impossible is a reference to Toyota's disbelief that people want BEVs. You won't sleep if you keep drinking coffee.
There are other places and mind sets in the world besides the US and it's typical mind set. (stating the obvious, thank you Capt. Obvious, at least to some / a few??? in the US, anyways) It could mean that it's impossible to have 3 cars in a 1 car garage for each person on the planet. a new meaning for the 3 or 4% EV owners world wide. Some one needs to save the world from that humans.....

Hopefully with less dismal performance than the AWD prius. The rear motor is too weak to push the car on a flat surface if the front wheels lose grip. I'm not sure if that is an improvement over just FWD (which is already pretty good in snow) 2:50
Needing a garage to charge an EV at home is a misconception. The buyers in the two biggest EV markets in the world might have more limited access to home garages than in the US. Toyota is likely being more myopic than that. Now, Japan has challenges for home charging, but it isn't with access to outlets at home for cars. It precedes that. The electric supply to many homes there means something like the Prius Prime can take as long to charge as a Leaf here. Which is why the country has lots of public chargers, and even cars with very small batteries have DC charging standard. Well, the bz4x rear motor is something like six times more powerful, so it will do better. Again, the Prius AWD system is designed for Japan, a country without local sources of rock salt. They rely more of plows and blowers to clear snow than ice melting agents, which are more costly to use than in the US. The rear motor of the Prius is there to give a little help in starting and low speeds. There also wasn't space for a rear motor to begin with. The AWD models lose the spare tire, because the control components go in the spare wheel well.
I find the Rav4 rear seat leg room marginal already for tall people and if this is 2" less as one reviewer stated, it won't fit my family's heights.
just making a point that "3 cars in a one car garage for every person on the planet" was not a reference to charging, garage(s), trying the almost impossible task or squeezing 3 cars into a one car garage or delivery of a car or two or three to every person on the planet..... It was a reference to what might be the reason for the tag line of Toyota Ad. Anything else implied was left up to the imagination of the reader with the hopes it was as informative as humorous, even if it was a few degrees? off center from its beginning until its end.
