    Any one know if the '08 Hycams are also viable for the Federal Tax Credit?

    I have heard yes and no, so I'm not sure right now.

    The tax credit on eligible models is determined by the date that the car is placed in service. IIRC, no Toyota or Lexus vehicles will be eligible for any tax credits if they are placed into service after September 30, 2007.

    I get what your saying about the love affair with the Prius but the fact is that the CO2 emissions for the Camry are estimated to be 30% worse than the Prius per the 2008 EPA estimates. Not trying to flame you at all but if you haven't considered that IMHO you should.
