No, I actually read the thread that was all copied from. That was clear, non-bias and proved to not be an efficient product. Like you said easy to confirm. The coils, a different ball game, like the quantum solenoid. Both are in motor and both should provide data read from the OBD2 port to show whether or not gains or snake oil! Plus, when I read that, I actually wondered who thought that would work, I didn't shoot it down in my head and I probably would've purchased it just to confirm myself and not rely on an assumption of others or myself based on the product details.

And, key point, to confirm without having to buy or drive around with one. The claim being "this will give you benefit x because it does y", combined with the easily confirmed fact that it didn't do y, allowed a lot of people to save the time they might have spent driving around looking for benefit x, and use that time for other stuff they enjoy.

True, however, just what if... what if it did work for some mysterious reason unknown to us and mixed with the Toyota secret sauce made the ultimate secret sauce? For me, that's why I would've bought to test. Just like everyone says the upgraded brakes I have cannot produce EV mile range on a PHEV quicker than OEM yet... my PHEV driving the same downhill road going home that I would everyday was my first indicator the brake components improved the gains time on my PHEV. Heck others with a non PHEV echo my same sentiments that braking power significantly increased, yet... the majority call BS because of what they've read on the internet about how slots/drilled impact braking performance. they say a Prius with these types of brakes are worthless yet have not attempted to test their theory. Only make statements with full conviction they are accurate when I'll soon have the data to prove them invalid. or... it maynot work the same on the Prime like the Plug-in.

My favorite, everyone is timid and thinks there will be suspension issues with a Prius lifted more than 1.5"... yet, no one can say what issues... they all repeated information they read from a source they deem as almost Christ-like and wouldn't steer them wrong. I've lifted the Prius far beyond the 1.5" and attempting to put additional stress on the vehicle in an effort to find said issues without success... just so I can see the weak link and improve on it. to date, no issues! heh, yet, folks every day come with the "ohh I heard its bad" and they didn't even ask what issues or what specifically is bad, just took the statement as the whole truth and nothing but the truth...

My other favorite, is don't use an inverter with more than 1000W or 1500w as the system this and that, ohms law... yada yada... I've been running two 2000W inverters off two 85ah batteries without issues when proper wiring is used.

I guess, this is why I'm open to testing and trying something others have been to timid to attempt.

you know... I was gullible as well to shipping times. No fault to blinds4cars... when you get hit with the shipping fees like I did and they[shipping company] sends you an email stating you have to pay x before they deliver, you'll understand the entire issue Ive been facing. heh.

also, if no update is available, how can an update be provided?

You know, I don't play games and your attempts to dangle a carrot for an ETA are childish. As I stated earlier, if no update is available how will you receive one?
The I want what I want now mentality is one I do not share with you. If you wanted to support a US-based company you would've. Plain and simple, you could've done what many in the last week have done, ordered from PriusOverlanding.com, and waited patiently.
So, do I count out your two sets so they can be available for others?

you da man and I want to tell you an ETA honestly, just right now, until they are flowing in consistently and I am able to know without a doubt, I don't want to tell you the first week in April or ill lick dirt off your shoes knowing I won't have to... :: wink ::

Plus, what you don't know is, my headlights.. that I NEED are in this shipment... that to say, I have a lot more riding on this delivery than you know! I'm getting the LED headlights with the clear versus amber reflector! Only have one LED headlight since the accident...

The guy takes money upfront and ghosts his customers long enough they can't do a chargeback. And only defends himself here with no direct communication.

Many have paid. He says many have recently placed orders online. His webpage does show backorder status now thanks to the whistleblowers but you can still order those items now if you pay now.

Great explanation. No phone and planned to be invisible.

Well that is convincing. The other retailer is shipping but they are not American.

So for me, reading your words, knowing you are happy being a president of the pretentious prius owners group and known sassy pants who just likes being an all around female cleaning product... I only address your words so when people read this thread they see I'm not hiding, I'm not being invisible and I stand behind what I do, sell and represent.

You cant put your expectations of me on me... so what my phone broke, I never made mention id be this customer support guru available for anyone whenever they sent a message or called.
I've tried to reiterate on my social media that people shouldn't believe everything they read on the internet. I even tell them, to question even what I say and do their own research.[messed up part is, you have all of these people saying 1.5" is the best lift and no one mentions their axle rubs... like they are keeping it secret to protect their beloved savior]
It's clear, you fall into the bucket of people who end up having this pent-up animosity towards me because you've read words from those who clearly wish for my demise. [One guy told me, he just wants to see me fail, wants to see me suffer, and proceeds to tell people whatever he can to persuade them not to make a purchase... heh, he's not even a paying customer....]

So now, due to some delays in shipping after headaches with the first fulfillment company you have a community with a false belief, add on now these vocal souls bashing[this is what started it all over a year ago] and trying to tell as many people that will listen to their opinion. Heck, you even have my only competitor telling people I "copied" his lift kit when the deal to install them on multiple vehicles was done and parts installed. Before I could finish editing the videos I had a hard drive failure and couldn't produce the videos I'd promised. The next thing you know, I find the Gen 4 lift kit CAD files on this forum and the rest is history. Yet, because he said it, it must be true is how folks are. Heh... he also said 1.5" was the max lift height else suspension issues and I've already proven that to be false... yet, because of this animosity that I'm a lift kit copying bad company,no one questions his authority or bats an eye that I proved his words to be incorrect. ha! I'm still trying to find these issues he claims the Prius has after a tall lift.

Heh, I do thank the whileblowers for letting me know my customers didn't understand the default verbiage of an e-commerce site regarding product stock. Seperatly, how is it that you see someone attempting to elevate a stagnant car platform you wish to put him down when he stumbles over a hurdle? The kick a horse when its down syndrome is raging with those who share your sentiment. Is it that hard to say, "hey man, I see you might need some help, where can I lend a hand" versus throwing dirt on someone who fell over carrying a lot of items?

Here you have folks like yourself who have this false representation, and it's so heartfelt in the way you believe what you've read online, that you repeat it online possibly offline. When the base of what you say, none have any proof or a way to have a statement of facts to back up their words. I clearly should've done a better job at setting expectations!

I guess the thought of its easier to tear someone down than to lift them up is what plays in my head when I read words such as yours. Then the thought is, I cant be the only soul who would refrain from making disparaging remarks about someone or a company I've never done business with, just read words of others about.

You can say all you want, me knowing where my heart is and why I started this company, to see the level at which people are going through to tear all this down lets me know, it will be bigger and better than I even imagined.

Did you know when a person does a chargeback, the merchant company immediately takes the funds from the business owner? So say you have lots of customers, some of which who read words oniine when people say "scam" like the title of this thread, after they place an order then immediately do a chargeback... i don't think you realize the level of **** shit up that does... so yes, in order to get things back on track, requesting folks to not do a chargeback was done. heh... what would you have done? I'm all ears! You know, it doesn't matter, I just hope when you mention my name, post a link to the site. Funny to think, you enjoy being a female cleansing product, it makes you feel good and I just wonder what your offline life is like? If you ever need to talk I am all ears and can help wherever possible.

He has admitted to some problems in the past. As you say, he has changed his procedures. While I am in line, he doesn't have any of my money yet, because he isn't taking money for something that is not in his hands and thus where he'd have to rely on a distributor. That's the way it should be.

So that the record is clear....the other retailer is saying "in stock, ready to ship." They took my money. For over a week the tracking details have not been updated after "Label created," meaning the item has not shipped. Anyone can create a label which is then in the UPS system. Perhaps UPS doesn't update until the item is in the USA, I don't know, but I'm concerned that the item has not been shipped despite the money having left my wallet.

I'll say this, I have it on good authority that before the next week is over they will be in hand, I mean In-Stock at PriusOverlanding.com
Only 30 sets, the next batch of 50 is already in production and will be ready to ship in less than 1-2 weeks after this batch of 30 is in hand. If all goes well, 5-12 days transit time with a new carrier, its just... more expensive for shipping. Just a heads up, the retail price will make a jump to the $299 price. Any orders placed before the price jump during the backorder will secure your price when ordered.

@johnny how much was shipping for you?

heh.. nooo. I was referring to the shades ordered from the UK company. Word is today, the 1st, shipping prices are among the many things going up in price due to inflation. I went to get a Slurpee after midnight today and when they said $5 for an extra large, not even extra extra large, I had to let the clerk know that makes no sense! Especially if I go down the street or freeway to the next city and the same is for $2.40.

Now they have Horchatta and Vanilla, mixed with the Perfect Peach or Green Apple, a shot or two of 100proof Smirnoff is splendid!

Needless to say, I am on the hunt to own my own Slurpee machine!

I received the shades directly from blinds4cars in England -- @black_jmyntrn are yours the same?

For my purposes, I am disappointed. My thing is stealth camping. Currently, I use black twinwall, that I have cut to the exact shape of the window -- http://tinyurl.com/jl32dk9 After cutting the twinwall to the exact size, I added a two-inch strip of felt around the perimeter. No light escapes. I have tested this at night in the woods with all interior lights on (and a movie playing on the iPad). From the outside, 100% stealth. It is opaque.

The shades received from blinds4cars consist of a sheer fabric. It is translucent – while it substantially reduces the light that gets through, light still gets through. I will test it in connection with my tinted windows, but I don't think this meets my needs at all. I need to be completely stealth.

It's exceptionally difficult to prevent light leaks... Doesn't seem like what you bought was designed for total light blocking? Also help us understand that if you already have shades that don't leak any light, why would you want to try something different?

I thought it would be nice to have a professional product. My DIY creation needs periodic maintenance as the felt sometimes needs re-taping. The fit is so tight between the window frame and the twinwall that eventually there is wear after a couple of years and I have to recut new twinwall. I stealth camp *a lot*
