Good idea. I would just caution to be careful not to pull it up too much.

One of the first things I did when mucking around with the Gen2 Prius seat was to remove the front mount bolts and pull up the front of seat a little bit. I noticed it did not want to go up very much.

And that is because the left rear mount hidden under the plastic cover lays horizontal to the floorboard.

This is a left rear mount on Gen2 after being welded (stock mount same but different position and riveted).

As can see, any lifting is just bending the bracket up or tweaking it a bit.

Not to spoil the party, just putting out a word of caution.

You've compelled me pipe up again. I'm 6'2" and the Gen2 seat bottom is micro-mini (small!) for me. I really don't like sitting on the Gen2 seat without my custom cushion. I just drew a template with cardboard, paid $10 to a good local foam shop, sewed a pillowcase for a cover. I always drive with it. Gray would look better, but had a blue pillowcase available (I put comfort over looks anyday :))

It hangs a couple inches over front edge of seat, so it makes the seat bottom feel longer than it is and adds thigh support. Won't find this in any store or online.

I can virtually guarantee you the seats will not change for this generation.

If your right knee is bumping the center console, move the seat bottom back farther or pump height adjuster farther down.

The height adjuster gives a big range of back/forward seat movement. Back of seat bottom goes down more than front with height adjust because that's where your butt is.

(Don't worry about the 2010 Pri .... this all new Pri's seats blow the Gen2 seats out to sea).

My issue with the seat is that it is not wide enough in comparison to my other car which is a honda civic hybrid. Its not that I have a huge butt but i find the seat to be quite uncomfortable. I'm not that technical to fully comprehend what you did, but did it make the seat seem a bit larger? I found the seat to be a bit short and feel as if I'm straddling the edge of the seat. Help me out here as I love the car and this is my only complaint. I have a package six and you would thought at this price they would have included electric adjustable seats.
