Now the sights can be set to 800 posts. Thank you to all who have posted in this thread and not started a separate thread; the thread count appreciates your diligence.

Is there a way to cross-link the BT posts?

I think it would be cool if BT would mill its initials or (for an extra fee) the owner's initials, out of the plate material...instead of that boring 'x' pattern...

Come to think of it, I wish that my xootr said 'xootr' underneath, instead of that boring 'x' pattern, too...

    Maybe it's just me.

    Or maybe something like

For one of your own, call Brian at XXXXX

for the mechanic that sees it when the Prius is on a lift.

Out of curiosity, what are you attempting to accomplish with cross linking the BT posts?

Except, unfortunately, Brian doesn't have a website, so that would point you to a nonexistent page.

Ahah! You mean consolidation of threads.... Yes, that might even get to 900 posts.

For the record, I want to state my recommendation that all threads relating to the BT bracket be consolidated into one single thread. The single thread would provide a single point of reference for all subjects related to the BT bracket/plate.

I am no longer using the BT plate (Sorry, Brian!). After much frustration, with lining up the bolts, I installed the main piece of Tom's rear brace. There was noticeable difference, right away, although, I thought it was placebo. After a few hard turns at my favorite curves, I was convinced that the improvement was definitely better. It's the BT Plate+.

Upon removing the plate, I gave it a quick examination. The side that makes contact with the chassis was dusty, but otherwise perfect. The area where the bolts went in showed no signs of wear. The anodization was still fully intact. I can't say the same for the otherside, though. There's various scratches here and there, where I can see bare aluminum. Those scratches are completely my fault. I expected damage after hearing scrapes while taking the Prius over some rough, unpaved terrain. Those scratches are not in contact, or even close, with the chassis. I'm at work, but I hope to get some pics posted later tonight!

I really appreciate the beautiful, simplicity of the BT plate now. Tom's rear brace was 10x harder to install due to it's size, weight, and precise points of connection. The BT plate was a 30 second job for removal, and I'm sure if I was to install another BT plate, I could get it done in under 5 minutes including jacking up the car, setting the jack-stands, removing the old plate, and installing the new one. There's, essentially, nothing that can go wrong (unless you don't have opposable thumbs) with installing the plate yourself. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the BT plate, yet. I'm wondering if I could find someone locally to do a test with, otherwise, I'll see if my cousin wants it.

Sorry... at the time I posted that, I did not understand the geography of the underside of the car. I thought that the chassis stiffener would be something that was duplicated on each side of the car.

I've read the entire thread now (OMG what a day!), and I think I've got it now.

Thank you for your kind words Presto regarding our BT Tech plate.

WOW!!! If you mean to merge all of the posts/threads into one, then there would way too many posts for anyone to read!! :)

What you will find happen is that some of the same questions will be brought up later down the road once a thread grows old. In other words, everything comes full circle many times over.... :) :)

I don't have the patience.. what's this whole thread about? I know you want to get to 800 posts or something like that, but is there any substance?? WOW, you all are crazy..

BTW, I think "BT PIMP" would be an appropriate engraving on the plate..

It was a way to fill up the time at work today. I'm between projects at the moment, and with nothing in my queue, I tend to surf my days away....
