Don't worry. Happens to me all the time. Not necessarily with Evan, but at least with someone. I get too long winded sometimes.

Aside from being a nice round number, it now makes this thread a senior member of PC.

That is, if a thread can be a member.

I could have just as well suggested 512 (half a k).

I didn't mean to have this all end up in one post. The number is now 2 less than intended.

See, we can all do our bit to keep the thread entirely off the original topic.

In that case, I would recommend that you try to talk Brian into getting you blue annodized one (if you stick with blue for the replacement Prius). How cool would it be to put the car up on the lift, and see that blue plate staring down at you?

We could then debate what color annodization gives the best ride. :p

You should consider marketing them that way...offer a variety of colors...clear/natural aluminum, black, blue, red.

That would be a "cool" idea Evan but I don't believe Type III hard coat ..006" mil spec annodizing is available in a multitude of colors. Just various shades of darker colors and black.

I have to admit though a blue or red one would look pretty neat!! :)

Hey.... I hear the cool Blue color actually works better!...... Just kidding!

But you could start matching the colors of the cars as close as possible.... Red, Blue, Green, Silver...

Being functional is only part of the appeal.

    Never say die.

Anyway, I just installed my plate, and I noticed the difference immediately. The car feels more "German". It recovers back to center much faster when coming out of a corner, it doesn't wobble like it did when going over little road imperfections.

It's a cheap way to gain a noticeable and welcome ride improvement.

    Thanks Brian!

Ok, I installed mine today as well. I live on a 3/4 mile dirt and gravel, rather steep road. Usually on the way down the car "hops" on the gravel and doesnt't feel that firmly planted on the ground. Afther the install, I took off down the mountain and the car did feel better. More like it was sticking to the road. Less "bouncing". When I hit the pavement, it seemed to corner better. I feels more solid. Its not a placibo effect. Its different. I have put almost every single mile on my Prius since I bought it, and I know how it sounds, how it feels, how it handles, etc. In removing the OEM plate, it did look flimsey in comparison.

I also could tell a difference immediately. It's almost got a "sportscar" feel now. I like it. I have not been out on the interstate however. When I do, I'll report back any pertinent findings and/or opinions. Others are certainly entitled to their opinion, and I like mine. Thanks Brian. It was certainly worth the money and time to install. I'm glad I did.

Yup. "Natural" and black are your choices for type III. However, my unit is not Type III, and it is holding up just fine, so I'm sure colors in type II colors wouldn't be an issue.

I'm assuming you did not "sugarcoat" it.... its nice to see reports that speak of how it makes it more of a "sportscar" feel..... those were my sentiments exactly.... its still not perfect.. especially at high speeds on very windy days or on crappy road surfaces.... but Its a "major" improvement for such a little expense.

Welcome to the club of the hypnotically induced delusionals that feel like thier ride has improved! :)

The more people speak thier mind, the more others will not be intimidated by the inexperienced who label the experiences of BT Plate owners as being a placebo effect.

    --------------
A question of interest.... how skeptical were you and Robincx when you started and first put on the plate?
Obviously you had an open enough mind to assume it may do something or you wouldn't have even bought the plate, but do you feel you were skeptical in the beginning?

I see other threads trying to move in of this topic, we must keep this one going. I hope to install my plate today and will give a follow up. Tomorrow I will try it out on 450 miles of Interstate driving.

Looking forward to your comment Tom6850 also thanks RangerDavid and Robincx for yours as well
I am a firm believer in real testimonials and not those by any manufacturer ( does not include you Brian of BT tech) but other companies that sell their products such as "kaboom, quick & brite" etc...
