Brake bleeding problem

    Yeah i called my credit company. they've already credited the money back on my card. i didnt wanna go too deep into it cause i figured it wouldn't be interesting to people since it didn't have to do with the issue. thanks for the good advice. i was really bummed at first but then i figured i would see if the credit company could do something and they did, so im not bummed now. i definitely would not recommend ToyotaPartsDeal to anyone. they told me they couldn't give me a refund since the part i bought wasn't compatible with my car. i told them their website brought the part up when i put in the year make and model but they wouldn't make it right.

    That's good!
    The Toyota Dealership in Sarasota have been very good to me.
    I get the 10% veterans discount and they've always worked with me to find the
    parts I've needed. The one in Vero Beach has also been good.

    Now the new/used cars sales people, they just suck! Which is likely the same for all dealerships
    for all brands....

    Do you think its safe to bleed the brakes manually (without a scan tool) or bleed the brakes with a scanner tool under "regular brake bleeding" instead of the brake bleeding procedure "after replacing actuator" cause i cant do the brake bleeding "after replacing actuator" cause of C1451. i got a new actuator assembly brand new from toyota today but the code c1451 is still poppling up. i guess im just trying to figure out the best way to clear that code.

    Is it safe to drive? If so, consider having dealership do the bleed? Doesn't hurt to phone them, explain where you're at, get a quote.
    See I've asked this before (post #14). Did you try that, too expensive?

    That sounds a bit backwards, because completing the "after replacing actuator" bleed is the only way C1451 goes away.

    If you can't get through that bleeding procedure (for some other reason), then it seems you're going to be stuck with C1451, which locks out the pressure pump from operating, and you will be stuck with nothing but the last level of fail-safe front-wheels-only braking.

    I would concentrate on solving whatever really is preventing the full bleed from completing, and get through that process so the C1451 goes away.

    well for whatever reason i cant begin the brake bleeding procedure anymore. im doing all the stuff i was doing. i was able to preform the brake bleeding twice and then for whatever reason the scanner tool wasn't able to communicate with the control unit after the second time i tried the brake bleeding. i went to a local Toyota dealership and picked up one of these (uploaded a photo). this job is extremely frustrating. i did the head gasket on the same car a couple of months ago and that was a cake walk compared to this. i only replaced the part that has all the brake lines into it. at this point the only thing thats not brand new is the part that sits right below the part with all the brake lines. ive tried to preform the brake bleeding with two different scanner tools and no luck. one of them is MaxySys MS906TS the other is a Foxwell NT630Plus. both of them give me same message that just says its "unable to communicate with control unit" Do you guys know which part its trying to communicate with the part with the brake lines or the part with the two little pumps below it?

    That's a jump starter, which won't do much to ensure your battery doesn't die. You'd want to attach a battery maintainer for that.

    Well after all your help i was able to fix the problem. everything is back to normal and no codes other than my tire pressure sensor thats gone bad. One of the brake bleeding screws wasn't tight all the way so the scanner tool couldnt start the brake bleeding function. once i had them all tight and the parking brake on i was able to bleed the brakes and calibrate the linear solenoid valve. Thanks for all the help guys. i really appreciate it, cant thank you enough.
