In general, I have found Prius radios and Nav to be the worst.

This has been an ongoing problem with my 2013 since buying the car new. To go hands free, I have to use a third party Bluetooth receivto myer in the Aux port. My radio was replaced twice under warranty. Now at 166k miles, it is all mine to pay for. Sometimes the radio will connect to my Samsung Galaxy S8+, but will disconnect, and turn off the Bluetooth on the radio. I can't turn it back on. I am aboedut ready to replace the unit.
It is too bad Toyota couldn't get this fixed. This issue is the only stain on their reputation I have.

My 2015 Prius FIVE model started dropping the BT after a couple minutes and saying it is off several months ago. Galaxy S8+ worked fine for well for almost two years on this car. I have an extended warranty. Is it covered by the Toyota extended warranty?

My bluetooth for my Galaxy Note8 has connected to my 2015 Prius with no problems. Starts where my song left off last time I left the car. Picks up my phone calls automatically and while using Google Maps, it gives me directions, lowering the volume on the music when google speaks. I absolutely love it! It is the stock unit the car came with. I almost pulled the trigger for an Android head unit, but the stock unit works so well. Even the steering wheel commands work through my phone!!

Just checking in to see if anyone has found a solution to this? My wife's 2012 Prius just started doing this out of the blue, after literally years of working fine with the same phone (Samsung S7).

Would love to have an answer as well. Have tried several bluetooth devices that work to connect, however my wifes phone which is the most important device does not detect the car, and the car does not detect the phone. AT ALL. its a one plus 3t android phone.

Display on head unit just says searching. can connect to some other android devices fine.

Looked at the entune update site and the radio without navigation which is the one i have has no update from stock it seems.

December 2023, my 2013 Prius started disconecting bluetooth after 30 seconds. I found a fix, I unpaired the phone from my Prius as well as deleted the paired phone in my car. Then during re-pairing procedure, I didn't allow the messaging or text feature when asked in the prompts. I allowed the other prompts as the pairing process completed. My phone now stays connected so I can play music, make calls, etc.
