Blew out a tire and have a question...

    Put the new one on the back whatever you buy. Front ones make a big difference in MPG. Been there and wore the torn shirt!
    You just missed a great Sams club sale on Pirelli.

    I figure I can go at least 60K on the fronts by keeping the ones that are left on the front and new ones on the back.

    BTW some OEMs have a shallower tread depth than the same brand and size/type in the store.
    Walmart refused to acknowledge this on special order tires/EP20 from Japan. Said my tires were half worn out when they had full tread.

    Thanks everyone. New tire is on and there is VERY little difference in tread.

    BUT, I also noticed yesterday that whatever popped my tire, came with backup. There's a quarter sized dent + scratch dead center on my roof. Ugh.
