BG Products fixed his Prius oil-burning problem - comments?

    OK. I did that -- oil change at 38K+ miles. I took a sample of oil before giving it the EPR treatment, then took a sample after using EPR and put drops of each on a paper coffee filter. No difference that I could see: nothing like the "melted chocolate" appearance of the EPR-treated oil I drained from the Vibe with 166K miles (which might have run on "dino oil" before I acquired it; could that make a difference? Does synthetic oil leave less residue?).

    I don't see any reason to try the EPR again before 100K miles -- if then.

    I forgot to mention that the old oil filter looked really black, but I don't recall the color of the previous one I took out. But if they were different filters they could have looked different anyway, I suppose, even without having used EPR.

    how do you keep the car running at 1200 RPM for the 10 mins required for EPR?
