On second thought, I do have a question for you or any of the other dealers. What effect does an extended warranty have on the trade-in value of a car when you guys make an offer? Let's say, for example, two people from Chicago, Illinois, have identical 2004 Honda Odyssey LX's with 60K miles in average condition. One has a good quality aftermarket "bumper to bumper" 7 year/100K warranty and the other doesn't. What's the value of one the warrantied car vs. the other is trading in, all else being equal?
Everything else being equal? $0. Most extended warranties don't transfer when the car is sold to a dealer.

Wow that was terrific. I wish they would circulate that amongst dealerships to make them realize if they steal they will be caught, fired and if I were the victim, prosecuted.
