Have the Nanoenergy A29 on my 2017 prime at 37k 4/32 to 5/32. They don't seem terrible, but they feel a little slippery when wet. The Defenders seemed to drop the MPG on my 2013 Prius a little, but they last and seem to hold up in the extreme Arizona heat yet do okay in the occasional ice or snow. I'll probably go with them again, while not ruling out the others discussed here. On the consumer reports website they rank them and let you sort. For my size 195/65/R15 They list for rolling resistance Toyo Extensa A/S II 1st, For noise they also rank first, but rank 5th overall, Defender comes in 2nd for noise, first for longevity and ranks first overall (for regular all season tires). They seem to really put a lot of weight on estimated longevity. Tire rack ratings are interesting too and seem to weight differently

If I lived in a place like Wisconsin I would consider the General Altimax 365 AW, We have the General RT43 (ranked 2nd overall in regular all seasons) on our Minivan and they were much cheaper then Michelins and seem pretty good so far.

    Best of luck
