I’ve finally taken it to the Toyota dealership. Finally, finally, finally. They’re running a diagnostic on it too.

Too bad I got in a minor car accident on the way there because I went too quickly around a freeway offramp.

Hey everyone, so here’s an update:

After getting the new battery, I said “screw it” and decided not to drive the car ever again. Now it’s been sitting in my parking lot at my apartment growing an ecosystem.

I have to move apartments soon, so I’m thinking I’ll jumpstart it, and then drive it to my parents’ house in Portland.

So, I tried jumping it today, and it wouldn’t start. After jumping it for 5 minutes, the Ready sign never came on. Now I don’t know what to do.

Do I need to get a new battery again? Do I call some kind of a mechanic or something and ask them if they’re able to come over and install a new battery?

it's been sitting since last november? very likely, but you could try charging it and see if it holds. sometimes a short in the battery can prevent a jump from supplying proper voltage, or it could be something else altogether.

That’s what I’d like to do. I can’t find my title so I’m getting a replacement one on Monday and then I’ll carmax it. I don’t care what i get for it, and I’ll rent a zipcar for a few hours to move my stuff.

I would use the charger however a homeless person stole it out of our outside closet :/ I love Oregon.
I have an appointment to take it to a mechanic on Thursday right before I leave to see if they can replace the battery but we’ll see
