No, wrong. You should not have messed with the electrolyte level at all.
The OEM AGM batteries and similar replacements are NOT designed to have any water added to them. NONE.

So YOU caused the problem and you should not expect Toyota to help you fix it.

    He’s definitely something:cool:.

You can always ignore the user and not have to see the responses ;).

Isn’t he SamSpade2 these days after the Far East invasion a couple of months back:whistle:?

No matter, both are on my ignore list(y).

    Too late.

As an aside, interesting I think, a person in my "sub-division" who owned a house valued at maybe $400K, recently managed to burn down his house by trying to charge a Lithium battery in his garage and it exploded. Next went the gas cans for the lawn mower. Total loss.
Thankfully he got out alive and nobody else was home.

You should not mess with things that you really don't understand.......because sometimes it turns out badly.

In order to get the full humor involved in the 'adding water to the prius 12v battery' thread, please review the original thread. Refused to believe anything he was being told.................therefore, he must have been the one who fully understood and everyone else was afu......

The confusion in this thread surrounding AGM batteries is astounding...

I actually had a number of Dutch uncles, literally: me mom's sister's hubbies. One of them had maybe a touch of that, not really though: I had it coming, lol.

There were a dozen or so posters around the end I march who just posted nonsense and hundreds of threads at a time.

It was a chore navigating unless you ignored those users.

The moderators got it cleaned up though.

Wow!! Same OP, one year earlier. Was warned about it. Continues pumping acid out the vent tube, thus eating part of the car, and then thinks Toyota should pay him for it. Totally amazing!!!
