How do you recycle leather? Do you wrap it around a calf which is born without skin?
Or is it organic?

Nature takes care of the entire recycling process. I didn't say leather is reusable.

Thanks for the pics! I was wondering how much darker than the stock seats the leather is. This is just what I was hoping for! Can't wait to get mine so I can start.

Those were taken under the LED interior light. I will take more pics in daylight (not much of it due to rain).

I would try the back seat bottom next. It's easy to take out and should be easy to cover. I was thinking the back seat back would also be relatively easy, but considering the carpet and the center arm rest I'm beginning to wonder. Not worried, just expecting more work than I originally anticipated.

I believe it just "pops" out (no fasteners). Most back seats you push in at the bottom and lift up, then pull forward to slide them out from under the seat back. If no one else posts about this I will check it out tonight after work and post a definitive answer. When the shop wired in my amp and sub I wasn't the one who removed the back seat, but I believe they just lifted it out (we had it in and out a few times).

Heck, with what you provided this is a snap! The hard part is knowing the details of every little clip that holds the plastic parts together and where all the hidden trim screws are. This shows every one. Also, this shows the placement of every single hog ring - another indispensible tip. Now it's just careful labor, and getting everything stretched just so to get the wrinkles out and make the installation as smooth as possible.

I just received my tracking number, so my kit is soon to be on its way FedEx. I hope it arrives before the weekend - I could be driving on leather by Monday!

Boo,

After my last truck which I mod’ed in several areas, I am not afraid of anything anymore... My wife often asks me when I work on the car if I know what I am doing… My answer always is: “No!”
This could be interpreted as being brave or crazy...

Yea, I really like the black armrests and center console too. However the center console / armrest is a cover on top of the fabric. I am going to replace it with the leather piece that came with the kit. I can put the black leather cover back on anytime.

I made some progress today. I did not have enough time to finish the rear bottom piece. I will be lugging it around tomorrow.

The first obstacle was the hog rings. Even though I got two different sizes as a backup plan, both of them were too big for my plier. Duh! I should have tried it yesterday.



So I went out and bought zip ties with the aim of finishing the rear bottom seats. I put in about 3 hours and time ran out. Tomorrow, I will look for a smaller hog rings.

See below for the pictures I took along as I progressed. Note, most pictures are taken with flash and the dark gray looks lighter, especially next to the black center console cover.

I unscrewed everything and still couldn't get the cover off. The PDF did not have instruction to take out just the top part. I got frustrated and screwed everything back in.

If someone has done it before, please post with some hints.
