i'm 32 and just bought a prius earlier this month as my first car. it's been a wonderful experience driving it so far.
Congratulations. Great story. Continue to enjoy life and your Prius. You're a inspiration for all of us.
I'm 22. My Prius was my second hybrid, bought an Escape Hybrid about a year earlier. I've been into hypermiling since I was about 17. Figured MPGs were safer/cheaper/more legal than MPHs.
From what I see driving around I would guess the average age to be in the 40-50 range. However my girlfriend and I are both in our mid twenties.
I am 21, I bought it when I was 20. Driving around the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys (just north of Los Angeles) I usually see people in their 40s to 50s driving around in Priuses the most. My neighbor has a gen 2 and she must be in her late 20s.
24 here. Always wanted a Prius - finally got my first 1.5 years ago and have now owned 3. Sold my last one to my 17 year old sister in law. A year ago she told her mom she wouldn't be caught dead in it! Now that shes paying for her own gas, she really loves it!
I am 34, this is my first prius & hybrid. I am cosnidering after lease getting a camry hybird or maybe a prius V. My wife is 32, she just got her first prius also...2013 prius persona.
my dad has a 92 miata (only drives in spring & summer on nice days) it has like 60k miles on it. i love the thing.
I'm 56 and bought my Prius in August, it's my first one, and my first hybrid, previous car was a Peugeot 107. I decided I wanted a Prius some 12 months ago after considerable thought and research, and I'm very happy with my decision. As far as I've noticed Prius drivers in the UK tend to be 40s and older. I don't wave to them, and would be surprised if somebody waved at me, they're fairly common. My other car is a 1961 Hillman Minx. When I'm driving that there is considerable camaraderie with drivers of other old cars, I normally get and give a wave or a flash of lights. I would acknowledge certainly acknowledge another Minx if I saw one and would probably stop for a chat, but I haven't seen another one on the road for some years.
